This is the final weekend the Channel Cat Water Taxi will run on its regular schedule for the season.

Tomorrow through Monday, MetroLINK's boats will take passengers on Mississippi River trips from 9:00 am until 7:30 pm.

After Labor Day, the Channel Cat will offer trips on weekends only through October 13th, weather permitting, from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm.

By the way, the U.S. Department of Transportation recently announced the Quad Cities is one of nine locations that'll receive money from the Federal Transit Administration's Passenger Ferry Grant Program.

The Rock Island County Metropolitan Mass Transit District will receive $1.2 million to build a new ferry terminal at the Village of East Davenport.
