A Christmas tradition has been canceled for this year because of the pandemic. The Canadian Pacific Railroad has announced the Holiday Train will not travel through Canada and the northern United States, hosting concerts and collecting food donations.
Instead the company will host a virtual concert, and make donations to food banks in communities along its network.
The Holiday Train began in 1999, and since then has raised more than 17 million dollars, and collected 4.8 million pounds of food, for local food banks.
Concert details will be announced later and the C-P plans to resume operating the train next year.
