Moline Holds Workshops for Job Seekers

The Moline Foundation

With unemployment rising, the Moline Foundation and Moline Public Library are collaborating on a series of workshops to help people find jobs. Every Wednesday for the next six weeks, the library will hold a free Zoom session.

Susan Zelnio, Workforce Development Director for the foundation, has a background in Human Resources, hiring, and career coaching. She'll host workshops on resumes, interviews, building connections, and social media.

"Once we get over COVID, we will have a real problem with our economy. The more that we can do right now, together the better we will be placed afterwards, and the stronger our economy will be."

Zelnio's Zoom workshops start this week.

Marianna Bacallao is WVIK Quad Cities NPR's 2020-2021 Fellowship Host/Reporter. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mercer University's Center for Collaborative Journalism and served as Editor-in-Chief for the student newspaper, The Cluster.
