New President for Family Resources

Family Resources

Family Resources has a new president. Wednesday it announced the hiring of Nicole Cisne Durbin, a 12 year veteran of the the Davenport-based agency.

Durbin has already served as interim president twice, last year during the search for a new leader, and then in recent months following the resignation in July of Jeannette Archer-Simons.

Durbin began her career at Family Resources as a Sexual Abuse Therapist, and has since served as Director of Survivor Services and Chief Operating Officer.

Family Resources was founded in 1849.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
