2018's race will be the 44th anniversary of the Bix 7, and the theme is "The Year of the Family."

Organizers, volunteers, and businesses are preparing for a very busy weekend. On Saturday, the Quad City Times Bix 7 Road Race will be held in downtown Davenport. And RAGBRAI will end in Davenport after bikers ride from Iowa City to the Mississippi River.

Lynn Hunt, Interim President and CEO of the Quad Cities Convention and Visitors Bureau, says more volunteers are needed to help with RAGBRAI on Saturday, mainly in the afternoon, driving pickup trucks filled with bicycles to long term parking lots.

At least 48,000 people are expected to visit Davenport for the end of RAGBRAI, while around 20,000 usually run in the Bix 7. Hunt says everyone will be able to enjoy the 47th Annual Street Fest, sponsored by Cobham, the Downtown Davenport Partnership, and many other local businesses.

She also says people often forget to use Davenport's parking ramps, which are open and free on weekends. Free shuttles will be available on the east side of North Park Mall to take people downtown. Other shuttles will be available from 9 am until 5 pm to take RAGBRAI riders to long term parking lots.

See the slide show above for maps of Davenport street closures, the Bix 7 races, RAGBRAI route, and parking.
