Four people from the Quad Cities will provide food, water, and other assistance to people affected by flooding in Freeport. Flooding on the Pecatonica River has closed roads and forced residents out of their homes.
Three of the workers are employees at the Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Center, and the other is a volunteer.
All four are members of its Emergency Disaster Services team, and they'll staff an emergency mobile canteen near the flooded areas. The Pecatonica is expected to crest on Sunday and remain above flood stage until Tuesday.
