The new Rhythm City Casino opens its doors at 6 p.m. Thursday.
The original location on the downtown Davenport riverfront employed 250 people. The move to a land-based location at the interchange of I-80 and I-74 will add another 450 jobs.
Mo Hyder, general manager, says the move to a new location near the interstates, along with the addition of amenities such as a hotel, restaurants, bars...and of course, more gaming space...will attract guests from out of town.
Under an agreement with the city, the Rhythm City riverboat must leave the downtown Davenport riverfront within 90 days of the grand opening.
