QC Sports Hall of Fame Moves Permanently

Quad-City Sports Hall of Fame

Ninety plaques, honoring the best athletes in the Quad Cities, finally have a home. Tomorrow, the Quad-City Sports Hall of Fame will move to its new location at Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport.

The Quad-City Times founded the Hall of Fame in 1987. And for the past 9 years, it has been in storage.
Executive Editor of the Times, Jan Touney says tomorrow, the Sports Commission and River Bandits will hold a ribbon cutting at the new, permanent location.

Touney says a local firm, DMW Design, will install all the plaques on the suite level of Modern Woodmen Park. The display will be open, except when the Quad City River Bandits play at home.

The Quad-City Sports Hall of Fame currently has 93 members. And, the Times adds at least 3 new athletes, coaches, and others every year.
