SouthPark Mall's Dick's Sporting Goods Opens Friday

A leading national retailer will open this week at SouthPark Mall in Moline. Dick's Sporting Goods and the owner of the mall, Macerich, will hold a ribbon cutting on Tuesday (4/21), and on Friday (4/24), the store will open to the public. 
Dick's is located where SouthPark's food court used to be. Last spring, it was demolished along with the Sears store, as part of Macerich's re-development plan for the mall.
For the grand opening, Dick's will hold a celebration Friday through Sunday. There will be prizes, give-aways, and a chance to meet Davenport native and former NFL star running back, Roger Craig, according to SouthPark's website. 
Dick's Sporting Goods sells sports equipment and clothing in over 600 stores across the nation. The new store in SouthPark Mall will be its 25th location in Illinois.
