Skin of Our Teeth
Skin of Our Teeth
The Augustana College Department of Theatre and Film presents "Skin of Our Teeth," May 7-10, directed by Jeff Coussens.
Although it was first produced in 1942, Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning comedy proves as timely as ever in 2026. The action centers around a "normal" modern family who survive the ice age, the great flood, countless wars and any other calamities that you can imagine. This timeless play is a lasting tribute to the ability of humans to endure and overcome large-scale crises and catastrophes, even if they only survive by the skin of their teeth. Wilder's optimistic tribute to the indestructible nature of humankind sends a valuable message across the centuries and into today's uncertain times.
