Candidates for offices in Rock Island County will be chosen Tuesday during the Illinois primary election. Polls will be open from 6 am until 7 pm.
Democrats will have the most races to decide, starting with the four person contest for State's Attorney. And there are competitive races for four seats on the county board - in districts 9, 13, 16, and 20.
For Republicans in Rock Island County the main race to decide on Tuesday is for Congress - whether Esther Joy King or Bill Fawell should challenge Democratic incumbent Cheri Bustos for the 17th District in November.
And members of both parties will decide whether the county can start charging a one per cent sales tax for public safety.
