The republican challenger for governor will visit the Quad Cities and western Illinois on Friday. State Representative Jeanne Ives from Wheaton has scheduled stops in Moline and Galesburg.
At 11:45 am, Ives is scheduled a "meet and greet" event with local republicans at Celebrations at Trimble Point, in downtown Moline.
Following a 1 pm private meeting with the editorial board of Dispatch and Argus, she'll travel to Galesburg for another meet and greet, at the Iron Spike Brewing Company.
Ives is challenging incumbent republican governor Bruce Rauner in this month's primary - early voting is already underway across the state.
