A cinema chain that operates in both the U.S. and Great Britain is considering some drastic action to ride out the continuing coronavirus pandemic. Cineworld says it may temporarily close all its theaters here and in Britain.
The company owns 543 Regal cinemas in the U.S., including the Regal theater in Moline, and 128 venues in the U.K. and Ireland, under the Cineworld brand.
Cineworld says the temporary closing is being considered in part because a new James Bond movie has been postponed, leaving a huge hole in its schedules. Last week, producers said the 25th Bond thriller, "No Time to Die'' is being held back until next April. It had been due to open in November.
