River Music Experience
A group of homeschool students from the Quad Cities area participate in a workshop with the jazz group Sammy Miller & The Congregation at the RME. (April )

Students and adults who play instruments will benefit from a new relationship with the River Music Experience in Davenport.

Communications Director, Alex Burkamper, says last year, Phyllis Miller, the former director of the Community Youth Band retired. In addition, members didn't have a place to practice.

The group is for  student musicians who are home-schooled and go to private schools. And it's open to students who've already had some instrumental music lessons. Adrienne Varble, a music teacher from Muscatine, will direct the Community Youth Band which will start rehearsing at the River Music Experience on October 2nd.
