The Beréskin Gallery & Art Academy moved to its expanded gallery and classroom space at 2967 State Street in Bettendorf, Iowa, in August of 2017. The top floor is a large light-filled space featuring the work of various local artists in all mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography, fiber, ceramics, and more.
Art classes and the STEAM lab are located on the lower level. The extensive art course offerings are available for all ages and experience level, and a list of current opportunities can be viewed here.
The STEAM classes offer a hands-on approach to creative learning, combining science instruction (electronics, physics, and chemistry among others) with a memorable learning experience for students in preschool through 8 th grade.
The Beréskin Gallery also offers a variety of seminars and special events. Their upcoming holiday open house will be held on December 7, 2018 from 5:30-8:00 PM, during which time you can meet local artists and watch demonstrations.
Listen to our conversation here with artist Pat Bereskin, the director of the Beréskin Gallery & Art Academy, about her passion for education and mentoring, and why she believes that local art matters.
