The 2nd annual Alternating Currents festival will take place Aug. 23-26 in downtown Davenport. Featuring a dizzying array of film screenings, music performances, comedy acts, and art displays, over 100 events will be held in 16 venues within walking distance over the course of the four-day event.
There are many free events including the Quad City Arts' Chalk Fest as well as the "OMG BeckyFest", an indoor and outdoor show featuring handmade art and vintage goods on both Saturday, Aug. 25 and Sunday, Aug. 26. Bring your kids because this event is family-friendly, as are many others!
The indie rock band Dr. Dog will headline the Adler Theatre on Saturday, Aug. 25. Other ticketed musical venues include the Redstone Room at the River Music Experience, the Triple Crown Whiskey Bar & Raccoon Motel, and the Stardust.
