Arts Dollars Grants Awarded

Thanks to Quad City Arts, arts organizations and artists will receive more than $90,000. That's the total of this year's Arts Dollars grants, awarded to 23 projects.
And along with this support, Quad City Arts awarded money for a new category, "capacity building grants," for the first time. Community Arts Director Tyson Danner says these grants will help organizations to grow beyond project grants.
"In the past we've done mostly project and education grants to help organizations on a single project. The capacity grants are really focused on how can we help organizations grow the whole organization."

Recipients of the new capacity building grants are the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Augustana Teaching Museum of Art, and Hot Glass, Incorporated.
Each year, the Arts Dollars grants are scored and selected by volunteers.
Grant applications for 2019 will be available at the end of the year.
