The workshop series starts on Wednesday, September 4, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. It will continue every Wednesday, with the final workshop on September 25.
According to a press release, the workshop is designed to assist cancer survivors in transitioning from active treatments to post-treatment care. Every session includes exercises tailored to each participant's ability.
Before joining, people need to be out of treatment and willing to sign a program waiver reviewed by their physician.
The four sessions are titled:
- Get Back to Wellness: Take Control of Your Survivorship
- Emotions and Health
- Eating Well & Staying Active
- Medical Management Beyond Cancer: What You Need to Know
The workshops are funded by the UnityPoint Trinity Health Foundation.
Those interested can either call 563-326-7504, email qc@gildasclubqc.org or visit their website to contact the program team for a waiver.
