Quad Cities dog parks reopen

Dog parks in the Quad Cities will reopen this week after over a month of being closed.

The cities of Bettendorf, Davenport, Moline, and Rock Island closed their parks in late November, to slow the spread of a respiratory dog virus.

On Friday, Bettendorf's Crow Creek Dog Park, and Moline's Butterworth and Greenvalley dog parks will reopen. On Satuday, Rock Island and Davenport will reopen their dog parks.

Davenport park officials urge people to make sure their dogs are up to date on shots. And if a dog does show symptoms, don't bring them to the dog park.
