Will McIntee is the White House Senior Advisor for Rural Engagement. He says the Inflation Reduction Act provides more money to increase the number of farmers who practice conservation.
McIntee grew up in Iowa and has learned gas with ethanol is not nearly as popular in Washington D.C. as it is in the Midwest. Federal funds are now available for stations in other markets to install tanks and pumps for sales of ethanol blends of gas.
Ethanol plants in eastern Iowa and northwestern Illinois include Patriot Renewable Fuels in Annawan, Big River Resources in Galva and West Burlington, Grain Processing Corporation in Muscatine, and ADM in Clinton.
