Iowa combined city and school elections will be held Tuesday

Races in Davenport include the mayoral contest between Mayor Mike Matson and State Representative Ken Croken.

Three candidates -- Jazmin Newton, Kyle Gripp, and LaCanna Dixon -- are running for the two, At-Large seats on the Davenport City Council. Plus there are competitive races in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 7th, and 8th wards.

Six candidates are competing to fill four seats on the Davenport Board of Education. Also, Kent Barnds is running to complete the term of a member who resigned. He was appointed in June.

In Bettendorf, there's only one city council race. Two candidates are running for the 3rd Ward seat. Eight candidates are on the ballot in Bettendorf's school board election with only four seats to fill.

In the North Scott School District, five candidates are running for four seats.
