The project to build the first 3D printed home in Iowa has suffered a setback.

The Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine said in a press release that the concrete formula for the house had to be scrapped after it performed inconsistently.

The subcontractor, Alquist 3D, will have to find a new material to use. That means the rest of the plan, to print ten homes in Muscatine County, will be pushed to next year.
