The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is looking for a person who shot a bald eagle in Scott County.

On Saturday, February 11th, an Iowa DNR officer responded to a report of an injured eagle in the Bettendorf and Riverdale area. The eagle died while being treated for its injuries at a raptor rehabilitation center. X-rays confirmed the eagle had been shot.

Anyone with information about the shooting of the eagle is asked to call Iowa DNR Conservation Officer, Nick Rocca, at 563.349.9418.
