The Quad City Mallards will play their home games at the i Wireless Center in Moline for at least three more years. Today, the team and the civic center announced they have agreed to a three year lease extension.
The agreement was made by team owner Jordan Melville and i Wireless Center executive director Scott Mullen.
They say in the first two seasons of their partnership, average attendance at Mallards games has increased by nearly 800 people per game and revenue for the team has jumped more than 50 percent. Melville and his ownership group, QCM Holdings, took over the Mallards in the fall of 2012.
The Mallards play their final game of the regular season on Sunday and have qualified for the Central Hockey League playoffs.
