The search for a missing Rock Island man is over. Tuesday night, the body of 55 year old Alberto Alvarez was found in Sherrard, in Mercer County.
He was reported missing by his family Sunday, several hours after he was due to visit a friend, but never showed up. Alvarez lived in Rock Island, in the 45-hundred block of 8th Avenue.
No other information is available yet. The case is being investigated by the Rock island police, Mercer County Sheriff, and Mercer County Coroner.
