The areas highlighted are applicable for DREAM project funding.

Davenport Community and Economic Development Department Revitalization Supervisor Letty Goslowsky says over $900,000 is available for city residents.

The DREAM Project is a grant opportunity for Davenport residents to make exterior improvements to their property. The city has been offering DREAM grants since 2019.

"Usually, it's approximately $20,000; it could be a little higher, could be a little lower depending on the application and the bids that come in from contractors and the request of the application for the rehab request," Goslowsky said in a phone interview with WVIK.

Glowslowsky says interested residents can access the application and other information by visiting www.davenportiowa.com/dreamproject.

She says over the last five years, the city gave out nearly $5.9 million to revitalize 252 properties.

"It's a wonderful program; it helps the neighborhood, it helps the residents and it doesn't cost anything to inquire about it, so why not," Goslowsky said when WVIK asked about the importance of the grant service.

The application deadline is August 23rd.
