During this month, the City of Moline invites everyone to celebrate National Parks and Recreation Month with Popsicle Pit-Stops. Every Thursday, from 12:30 to 1:30, people can have free popsicles, get fun giveaways, and play games.
The Popsicle Pit-Stops is a thank you for supporting the Moline Parks and Recreation facilities throughout the year. It’s also a way to get people outdoors and introduce them to new facilities.
Stacy Laake, Special Events and Marketing Specialist for the Moline Parks and Rec Department says that the Popsicle Pit Stops are just a treat for everyone. “It’s open to all ages and you don’t have to live in Moline. It’s kind of just a thank you for supporting the Moline Park system and our department.”
The event takes place in a different park each week. This Thursday, it will be hosted at Peterson Park, and next Thursday at Kiwanis Park.
