How SAU Plans to Re-open

Like many others, Saint Ambrose University will open its fall semester earlier than normal because of the pandemic and take a long holiday break. On Friday it announced classes will begin on August 17th, one week earlier than usual, and continue until Thanksgiving, then not resume until mid-January.

Classes on campus have been canceled at Saint Ambrose University in Davenport due to worries about COVID-19. Thursday the university announced it's switching to online classes only, through at least the end of the month (3/29).

After running St. Ambrose University's diversity office and disability services, Ryan Saddler is now in charge of a new initiative. 

This week, the Davenport college announced Saddler is its new Associate Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. 

Assumption High School

Assumption High School and Saint Ambrose University in Davenport will take the next step in their joint effort to build new sports facilities. On Sunday afternoon, they'll hold a ground-breaking ceremony for phase 2 of the Saint Vincent's Athletic Complex.

A man who grew up during "The Troubles" in Northern Ireland, has spent more than 30 years working to end them. Brian McKee, a native of Belfast, will speak Tuesday night at Saint Ambrose University.

A major remodeling project has started at St. Ambrose University in Davenport. McMullen Hall is being renovated and expanded, and will become the new home of the College of Business.

St. Ambrose University's College of Business has a new leader. This month, Dr. Maritza Espina began her new job as dean of the college in Davenport, where about 900 undergraduate and graduate students are enrolled.

Espina grew up in Puerto Rico and has 16 years experience in teaching, management research, publications, and service.

New EICC-SAU Partnership

It should now be easier for students from the Eastern Iowa Community Colleges to transfer and earn degrees in education at Saint Ambrose University. Wednesday the two announced a partnership allowing community college students to take courses at the same time at the university.
