On Midwest Week, a settlement has been reached in a long-running fatal shooting case from southeast Iowa involving police, the victim's family, the state, and when police video should be released to the public.

What began as an officer-involved fatal shooting in southeast Iowa two years ago, has now become a fight over open records and video from police body cameras.

One of the many places where the national debate over police reports, including video and the public record, is being played out is in southeastern Iowa.
