20th Annual QC Triathlon

Quad City Triathlon

The 20th Annual Quad City Triathlon will be held Saturday in West Lake Park. Hosted by the Scott County Conservation Board, participants will swim, bike, and run for a total of more than 18 miles. 

Roads going into and out of the park, including 110th Avenue will be closed at times during the race. 

The race starts at 7 am.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
