Mallards Host Stanley Cup

Quad City Mallards

The top prize in hockey, and the oldest professional sports trophy in North America, will visit the Quad Cities this weekend. The Stanley Cup will make several stops on Saturday, leading up to the evening game between the Quad City Mallards and Indy Fuel.

It will first stop at the RIA Federal Credit Union in Bettendorf where customers will have the chance to take pictures of themselves with the cup. After moving to Harris Pizza, also in Bettendorf, the cup will go to the i Wireless Center for the Mallards game.
Fans will be able to see it and take pictures before and during the game.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
