SAU Dedicates Expanded & Remodeled McMullen Hall

Saint Ambrose University

Eight months after it was completed, Saint Ambrose University in Davenport has celebrated the latest major building project on campus. Thursday it held a formal dedication for the expansion and remodeling of McMullen Hall.

It's located on the southwest corner of the campus, at Gaines and West Locust streets.

The $8.6 million project includes nearly 16,000 square feet of new space for classrooms and learning labs, with another 22,000 square feet of remodeled interior space housing faculty offices and a dean’s suite.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
