Prices in the Midwest Region increased 2.3% over the last year.
The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported information about the December Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) earlier this month.
Without food and energy, the index rose 2.0% over the year. Energy prices were up 5.6%, largely the result of higher prices for gasoline. Food prices increased 1.9%.
Below you'll find the Bureau of Labor Statistics file released with the CPI-U. It includes supplemental data about the Davenport/Quad Cities Metropolitan Statistical Area, Midwest region, and nation, such as employment, wages, and prices. The statistics are not seasonally adjusted and may be subject to revision at a later date. (Source: https://www.bls.gov/regions/midwest/)
