A Bettendorf transit driver receives state honor for her driving. Karen Carsell-Laake has been an employee of the transit system for over thirty-three years.
Karen is the first driver from Bettendorf to receive the award. She was one of twelve drivers to receive the award across all of Iowa.
To be eligible for the award, employees must have a clean work record, no attendance violations, an excellent safety record, and have worked at least 780 hours in the past year.
