Two people died after a boat overturned on the Rock River Sunday afternoon.

Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson says 21-year-old Alondra Acosta fell in the water after the boat she was in went over the Steel Dam in Milan.

Sixteen-year-old Alexander Ravelingeen also fell in the water, but was taken to the hospital in Iowa City where he died later Sunday night.

They were both from Kewanee. Two other people were rescued.

The Illinois Conservation Police and coroner's office are investigating.
