WVIK News
Alleman High School students listen to Mya Coene read "Life Is Like a Rollercoaster," a poem written by a 14-year-old two weeks before he died in the Florida mass shooting.

Students at a Rock Island Catholic high school held a vigil this morning, one month after the Parkland, Florida school shooting. While students across the country held walkouts, Alleman students planned a service to remember the students and teachers who died.

WVIK's Michelle O'Neill listened to eight student leaders discuss the vigil and how they feel about mass shootings, starting with Clare VanSpeybroeck. The other voices belong to Olivia Best, Mya Coene, Chloie Jennings, Mackenzie Larson, Joey Miller, Rebecca Nonnenmann, and Anka Snider.
