Fire at Galesburg Boys and Girls Club Deemed 'Intentional'
Authorities in Galesburg say a fire set to the building of the Boys and Girls Club was intentional-- and, police are asking the public to provide any information they can on the incident. Around 2 am this morning, fire crews were sent to the Carver Community Action Agency, on Depot Street.
Galesburg police say it took about 45 minutes to control the fire, which caused significant damage to the main building and smoke damage to the gym. No one was injured in the incident.
After further investigation, Galesburg Fire and Police departments say the fire was intentional, but have yet to find a cause.
