A Moline teenager accused of killing one person and seriously wounding another, has made a deal with prosecutors, and will not go to trial. Monday morning, 17 year old Lamaree Wilson-Neuleib pleaded guilty to first degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm.
In exchange, his maximum sentence will be 60 years in prison.
Prosecutors say on May 20th, Wilson-Neuleib fired several shots at a car, parked in Moline on 53rd Street at 47th Avenue. 18 year old Zachary Phillips of Colona died later at the hospital, while 19 year old Erik Roberson was wounded but survived.
A third person sitting in the back seat of the car was not hurt.
Wilson-Neuleib was arrested a short time later.
Following a hearing in September, he was found fit to stand trial.
His sentencing is now set for November 25th.
