A doctor in the Quad Cities wants to tailor medical services just for kids. Last week, UnityPoint Health opened a pediatric clinic at its 7th Street campus in Moline, based on the need for medical care for local children.
The clinic is staffed by doctor Vikram Agrawal, who earned his degree at the Ghandi Medical College in India. He says the population in the Quad Cities is growing with a "strong base of youth."
The clinic will offer typical pediatric care such as annual and school check-ups, vaccinations, and services including physical, mental, and developmental care.
In the future, Agrawal says the UnityPoint clinic plans to expand its hours with evening appointments to accommodate people who work during the day.
Agrawal is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and has specialties working with childhood obesity, metabolic syndrome, diabetes, asthma, and ADHD.
