Murder Suspect Pleads Not Guilty

A Moline teenager charged with murder has pleaded not guilty. 17 year old LaMaree Wilson-Neuleib was arraigned this morning in Rock Island County circuit court.

He's accused of the fatal shooting of 18 year old Zachary Phillips of Colona, and the wounding of 19 year old Erik Roberson on May 20th, as the two sat in a parked car in Moline.
Soon afterwards police arrested Wilson-Neuleib and charged him with first degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm.
At today's hearing, his bond was continued at 2 million dollars and trial set for next month.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
