A lot of the literal groundwork has been done on Rock Island County's $28 million Criminal Justice Center annex. The three-story building will include four courtrooms and offices for court administration, the circuit clerk, and the state's attorney and his staff.
The annex is being built on the east side of the justice center on Third Avenue in downtown Rock Island. Work began in April, and it'll take about 18 months to complete.
