A veteran member of the Iowa Legislature from the Quad Cities is running for re-election. Wednesday, democrat Cindy Winckler announced her candidacy for a 9th term in the Iowa House of Representatives.
Winckler has represented District 90 for the past eight years. It includes southern Davenport and the city of Buffalo.
She serves on several committees including Education, Human Resources, and State Government, and she is a ranking member of the Education Appropriations Subcommittee.
Winckler taught at North High School and also worked at the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency. She is a graduate of West High School and the University of Northern Iowa.
