Now that it's been completely renovated, a re-dedication ceremony will be held Saturday at the Iowa National Guard armory in Clinton.
Colonel Greg Hapgood says 45 soldiers are based at the Clinton Readiness Center - it's an infantry unit that provides security and humanitarian assistance.
The armory in Clinton was built in 1986 for 1.1 million dollars. The renovation cost 1.9 million, and added new offices, classrooms, storage, a fitness center, windows, doors, and plumbing and electrical systems.
Hapgood says every armory in Iowa has been either built, or completely renovated, in the past 25 years.
The re-dedication ceremony begins at 10 am Saturday (1200 13th Avenue North, Clinton).
