SAU Extends Distance Delivery Classes

Classes at Saint Ambrose University in Davenport will continue via what's called "distance delivery" through the end of the spring semester. The university made the announcement Thursday due to the continuing spread of COVID-19.

It began the distance-delivery format on Monday, when spring break ended. Face-to-face classes tentatively were scheduled to resume on March 30th, but the continued escalation of the pandemic led to Thursday's decision.

All University events are canceled through May 8th.

St. Ambrose will announce a decision regarding Spring Commencement ceremonies at a later date.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
