Residents of two Illinois school districts will learn more about what a merged district would look like. On Thursday, The Cambridge and Alwood school districts will present a feasibility report about consolidating.

Last November, the Cambridge School Board voted to hire former Riverdale superintendents Robert Lagerblade and David Bills to conduct the study.

The Cambridge and Alwood districts each have an elementary school and a combination middle and high school. Cambridge has a total of 500 students while Alwood has nearly 400.

The meeting will be held Thursday at 6:30 pm at Homestead restaurant in Woodhull.
