Tomorrow, business students and professors will celebrate their new location in the Quad Cities. Tomorrow, the University of Iowa's Tippie College of Business will hold a dedication and ribbon cutting at the new building on 53rd Street in Davenport.
Dave Frasier is the Associate Dean of MBA Programs. He says classes for the Professional MBA program were moved in January. Computers in the three new classrooms are connected to the main campus network in Iowa City. And video-conferencing will start this spring in Davenport and other locations.
Around 150 students, plus faculty and staff, will also have access to five meeting rooms and a lounge on the first floor. Frasier says the University's business college has offered classes in the Quad Cities for 50 years.
In addition, Frasier says students will have another option.
The business analytics program will begin next fall in the Quad Cities, Cedar Rapids, and Des Moines. Another initiative is what he calls "executive in open enrollment."
Tomorrow's ribbon cutting will be held at 5:30 pm, and will feature Iowa Governor Terry Branstad and Dean Sarah Gardial. An open house begins at 4:00 p.m.
