The Rock Island Library will offer a way to learn more about your family's history. Tomorrow, it will hold a free genealogy program to show what resources are available and how to use them.
Spokeswoman Lisa Lockheart says it fits in with one of the library's missions, and one way to do that is by researching local history.
She says genealogy research has become more popular in the past few years.
Rock Island Library employees usually work one-on-one with people, but Lockheart says the genealogy program will teach them how to use equipment on their own.
