Robbery at Moline Bank

Moline Police Department

Moline police are trying to find the man who robbed a woman outside a bank on Monday.

About 11 am, the 70 year old woman was going to take a canvas bag with money from her business into the First National Bank, at 16th Avenue and 15th Street. When the woman arrived in the parking lot, surveillance video from the bank shows the suspect hiding behind an adjacent car. He engaged her briefly in conversation, then ripped the bag from her hands and ran south between the American Legion and Cullman's Hall, where it's believed he got in a car waiting for him on 17th Avenue.

The suspect is described as a male black, about 6 feet tall, thin, and wearing a blue and white striped shirt, dark colored pants, and blue tennis shoes. He also has what police describe as "a unique gait," favoring his right leg.
