QC Vision Survey

Local residents are being asked to help plan the future of the Quad Cities. The Chamber of Commerce has put a survey online for people to talk about what's good about the area, and what needs improvement.

Kent Pilcher, co-chair of the Regional Vision Steering Committee, says the survey asks questions about quality of life, amenities, and education, but also has room for additional comments and information.
And he's encouraging businesses, local government, and non-profits to ask their employees to participate.
Pilcher says one of the goals of this "vision" process is to emphasize the importance of thinking regionally, and not just about each person's hometown.

The deadline to participate in the survey is March 13th. And he hopes a report will be completed by the end of the year.
The survey is available at qcvision.org.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
