Scott County Party Chairs

With all the attention being paid to races for governor and congress this year, we often forget the local ones. But they're important because of the decisions local ofifials make, but also because some of them will eventually move up to higher offices.

Herb Trix reports.
(Linda Greenlee is chair of the Scott County Republican Party, while Thom Hart is chair of the Scott County Democrats.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
